The Crescent City Classic 10k road race is held in New Orleans on the Saturday before Easter Sunday each year. The Classic is locally produced by a not-for-profit 5013c entity, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, and is a great way to get in shape while having fun! Both runners and walkers of all abilities are invited to participate in the race.
The Classic is both physically challenging and a great New Orleans tradition! The 10-kilometer course (6.2 miles) begins in Downtown New Orleans in front of the Caesars Superdome, runs participants through the French Quarter, and then all the way up beautiful Esplanade Avenue to New Orleans City Park.
During Easter weekend, the events surrounding the Crescent City Classic promise a jam-packed weekend. We host a two-day Health & Fitness Expo which is free and open to the public. After the race, we throw the best post-race parties in road racing hosted by Michelob Ultra, and complete with live music and local creole cuisine!
THIS YEAR YOU CAN CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN-PERSON OR VIRTUALLY!
The 2022 Virtual Crescent City Classic option is a way to experience the fun and excitement of the CCC10K in your own backyard!
You pick the course & the time, and reach your personal fitness goals.
You’ll receive your t-shirt, racing bib, and earn your commemorative finisher medallion. You can even donate to charity!

Festival Info
Race Day from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm at the Festival Grounds in City Park.

Even at the first Classic in 1979, the founders realized you can't hold an event in New Orleans without music, food and drinks. Most of our participants see the concert, food and beverages as their reward for three months of training.
Over the years, the Crescent City Classic's post-race festival has featured up-and-comers and some of the most notable names in New Orleans music.
Aside from the great music, food and refreshments, the RaceFest also features an award ceremony around 10:30 am for our Elite athletes and local winners, as well as a costume contest, which is fun for everyone to watch and participate in! Also, for kids (and adults) of all ages, our "Family Fun Zone" features an entire area designated for obstacle courses, inflatables, and more!
The RaceFest is free for runners and children 10 years or younger. Friends and family can join you after the race for $15 ($20.00 on race day) Fest passes can be purchased during Online Registration, at the Expo or on Race Day. If you ordered a Fest pass online, you can pick this up during the Expo near Late Registration or at the Festival Tickets Tent on race day, in front of the Reunion Shelter entrance.
